Whose Farm Is It Anyway?

The people at Autism Speaks must be celebrating today.

"Divide and conquer" is a time honored strategy.

And here we are, doing all the work for them.

  1. Is it possible for people to disagree without making it sound like the end of the world (or the end of the social circle) or some kind of defeat or something?

Because I don't agree with everything Larry said, but I don't see anything he said as that awful either. (Nor do I see a lot of what he said the same way a lot of people are taking it.)

And I see far more awful things (in terms of their real-world impact) being said on the Hub all the time and tolerated.

So I just plain don't get what the commotion is about and why we all have to supposedly be one big happy family even if it's pretence and illusion, just because we're all part of the same blogring.

  2. Absolutely possible, yes. I'm not mad at anybody; I just don't have the energy to spend on what I see as in-fighting. The very concept of "leading" is irrelevant if we are just talking in circles. We all have a voice. This is what I chose to say with mine. Now I'm done with it.

  3. I think they are a bit distracted today-----and we all need to keep speaking in our different voices, with our different views.

  4. I don't think the people at Autism Speaks pay enough attention to the Hub to notice what's been going on, but yes, they would happily be munching on the omelette if they did notice.
